Parvoject

Inactivated vaccine against porcine parvovirosis, in oily adjuvant

Composition

Each 2-ml dose of vaccine contains:

  • Porcine parvovirosis virus, pre-inactivation titre....................................... 128 HU
  • Oily excipient in emulsion ........................................................................ 1 ml
 

Indication

Vaccination of breeder pigs (sows and boars) and future breeders against Parvovirosis.
 
Administration and dosage

Shake well before use.
Intramuscular route.
Dose: One 2-ml according to the following schedule:

Primary Vaccination:
One injection during the lactation period before weaning.
Gilts and young boars: 2 injections (preferably) at a 15 to 21-dayinterval, with the second injection 4 days at least before mating.

Booster:
Sows: One single booster at following lactation; one injection on the day of weaning at the latest.
Boars: Booster 6 months after primary vaccination.

 

Precautions

  • Only vaccinate healthy animals.
  • Respect usual aseptic conditions.
  • When a vaccination control programme has been set up, it is advisable to vaccinate the entire population of a farm by progressive intervention,as sows come into lactation.
 

Waiting time

Nil.

 

Storage

Store a between +2°C and +8°C, protected from light. Do not freeze.
